Review on πŸ”’ ALG Health Patriot N95 Mask: Optimal Protection for Occupational Health & Safety in Personal Protective Equipment by Jay Liu

Revainrating 2 out of 5

Strong toxic odor. uncomfortable straps.

Cons: Strong toxic odor is my biggest complaint. Brand new out of the box and they stunk. I've tried airing them out: hanging them on a hanger overnight and leaving them outside in the car overnight. You still smell bad. I was out of town so I had to use them and the smell gave me a headache. A "pillow" is a strip of synthetic foam (such as Styrofoam baby sheets sold at craft stores). The foam sticks uncomfortably on the face. I believe the terrible smell of poison is due to this foam. The masks could be good if they didn't have that foam. The straps are very tight and hang around the head/neck. (I'm a petite woman: 5'4" and 110 lbs.) Wearing it for hours on end also gave me a headache and neck pain. The masks are not individually wrapped, making it difficult to carry accessories and keep them clean. I have bought them because they were n95 and made in america.Since reviews of other KN95 masks (china) report that they have a toxic smell, I thought they didn't smell. This was not the case. These masks are also expensive .I paid $100 for 40 and see they've gotten even more expensive.TSK tsk!Waste of money Pros: They fit my face well and I was glad I had something to wear when I was out of town which was better than no mask at all. My husband found a website that suggested soaking smelly masks in a bowl of water and tea tree oil.It helped reduce the toxic odor so I could continue wearing it without a headache.
