Huge and sturdy - better quality than I expected!

I use this desk as my main workstation when working from home. I used a smaller bamboo breakfast tray but after one of the handles broke I had to replace it. I am very happy with it - it suits my needs perfectly. ADVANTAGES: - Beautiful and big! The laptop in the picture is 13 inches and as you can see I have enough space for it and other items like a drink, notepad, my phone etc. The asymmetrical lip is perfect for using with a laptop! My previous tablet had a 1-inch lip all the way around, which made my wrists hurt when typing on a laptop for long periods of time. The low hem at the front keeps things like pens from rolling off, but it's thinner than my laptop so it doesn't get in the way when typing. The high lip on the back allows your phone/tablet to sit without fear of falling overboard. This is my favorite function. Lip for tablet/phone is good! My previous tablet didn't have this and I like to keep my phone upright. You also have more space for other things. Color and texture are wonderful! I really wanted white and it keeps my area clean and fresh. Also, the paint is very smooth and seems to rub off easily. She is strong! Possibly due to the oversized size, but when you grab the handles on either side it feels very solid and well built. I get up and sit down and never worry about my cup spilling or anything. CONS: - A bit heavy. The downside to my strong comment above is that this thing weighs a lot more than my previous table. Not a problem for my use, but it's definitely less portable. If you moved it, it might annoy you. Imperfect Corners. As you can see in the second photo, there are spots on the back corners where the paint hasn't fully sealed the tray area. I think it's just cosmetic but then again it seems so durable. I will update this review if it breaks in the future. - Legs don't stay folded. If you take this tray by the handles, the legs hang down a bit. It can be a little annoying to sit down and move around if you do it a lot.- Strong smell of paint at first. As others have mentioned, as soon as you tear this thing off the plastic it starts to smell strongly of chemical paint. But I just left it by an open window and it dissipated for me in less than 15 minutes. Personally, I don't even consider this a scam, but I know some people are very sensitive to smells, so I thought I'd mention it. So yes. For me, the cons are all bean counting, and overall I'm very happy with this table. This has greatly improved my workplace and I'm sure it will last for several years.

Pros
  • Folding Legs: 10.5" tall (folded) / 3" tall (folded).
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks
