The house we just bought has a ship's deck around and around the chimney and then there is a gap and then concrete over the mantle. I didn't want to wall mount our TV above the mantelpiece. I found and bought this item as an alternative even though it was listed for TVs up to 55" as I wanted to see if that was an option. Our coat is rock hard so I knew it could take the weight of the TV. When I got the mount, I installed the mounts as high as possible, leaving a little room at the bottom. Even if it was lower than the actual bracket, we could have hung the TV from the panel. When I got to the hardware, I had to stop because the screws that go into the TV were too long (they were originally designed for curved televisions). So I ordered a universal TV screw kit from Amazon for $11 or so. It has all the screws for any TV you will ever need. I have 60 extra parts because you need 4, but it's better than going to the hardware store multiple times trying to find the perfect screw size. After receiving the kit, I got the right length and set about installing the TV. It's been a few weeks and I couldn't be happier. So order this along with the Universal TV Bolt Kit and you're good to go. Keep in mind that the mount is rated for (110 pounds I think) and the 65" (at least the ones I installed) is about 47 pounds.
