Significantly reduced peeling of dead skin after showering

We ordered two of these complete products with an extension nozzle included. While there are some pros and cons worth talking about; Imo, the pros far outweigh the cons to the point where I can feel comfortable giving it a five star rating. First of all because we bought them just after the cold weather and snow hit Texas, leaving millions without power, hundreds of thousands without water and warning almost everyone to boil water. Although we were among the lucky few who saved electricity/water, we still had to boil the water until Prime Delivery could get these products (and a few others) to make the process less intimidating. We only had to use them for a few days before our city was able to fix our pipes to the point of canceling the boiling water notification. At first I thought it was a waste of money but as I continued to use it for my daily shower I noticed a marked improvement in the previously excessive amount of dead skin provided by ultrapure water. I also cleaned our showers thoroughly after the cooking order was revoked and a month later still no aggregate mould, limescale or heavy residual water deposits! I didn't even know our city had such a high-purity water system until I got curious enough to read last year's environmental report, which said that our drinking water is above purity standards, but also that this is mainly due to the amount being high-grade Chemicals used in processing. These chemicals seem to tend to build up on sinks, showers, interfaces, etc. and can also cause excessive skin dryness! Luckily, this product was just what we needed to solve a problem we didn't even know existed! As for the cons, whether it's a straight shower head or an extension head, it's in close proximity to a large filtration system. I suspect this unfortunate placement was an accident as you can't customize it to your shower or bathtub specs. The good news is that it came with adapters which allowed us to continue using our original extension head which is separate from the main head and therefore can be placed at our discretion for optimal water direction control. However, our upstairs shower did not have a separate extension nozzle so the water cascaded out at a very high angle to the opposite side of the bath shower. The water pressure with the nozzle attached wasn't that great either. But I would definitely recommend a filter system without additional attachments. Just buy an adapter for an extension handle or an adjustable head.

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good
