Bought these about 4 years ago and moved the old belts (10+ years old) to the back of my jeep and the first one failed before the 3 year mark. My Jeep regularly sits in the garage with the top on, so these handles are very limited by the elements. When I was helping my father into the jeep for the "Sunday drive", all 3 straps that attach the handle to the roll bar broke at the same time. Luckily I was there to catch my father and avoid serious injury, but I was wondering how the materials were chosen and the quality control passed. I never use the one I put on the driver's side and thought about moving it to the passenger side but decided to test it out first. Grabbed and applied maybe 25-50# force. and FAILURE. I immediately grabbed the handle and went to the trash can. Conclusion: This is rubbish. If you want to avoid hurting yourself, your family and friends, keep looking.
