They are great for outdoor activities where ice is possible.
They are not necessarily good for walking in paved or metal surfaces. The spikes are longer than I expected and can be slick on metal surfaces.
- Really work on icey roads when you have to step out of your truck. Easy on, easy off
- For just ice they were good but not when combined with slush and snow
