Better Than the Best

All my adult life I've worn fruit of the loom navy pocket tees because they're the best and I don't race to a variety of garments. Then, about a year ago, my neighbor opened a car wash and gave me one of his new promotional t-shirts. I decided to wear it to bed or refresh it, after all it's not navy blue, it's cheap and it has a somewhat obscene silhouette of a young lady on a pole printed on it. Then, after sleeping in it for a while, I noticed that the crew neck didn't stretch like every other part of the shirt. In fact, I was sick for almost a week wearing this cheap promotional t-shirt the whole time. I think part of the reason for this hygiene oversight was the fact that this shirt still looked good, the collar was straight and not too wrinkled, and I managed not to spill anything on it. Only then did I pay attention to the brand; it was Gildan, of course. Intrigued, I bought two packs of Gildan's navy blue t-shirts. Holy horse feathers! These two were as impressive as a car wash t-shirt! Still wary of breaking a longstanding habit, I embarrassedly bought two more, and then two more. And that's it, no more FotL t-shirts for me. My only regret is that I didn't discover these bad boys years ago! Cheap or not, these Gildan shirts are better than what I thought was the best! Well done Gildan folks!
