Buy LG-1 instead of FD-1

Two flash diffusers for macro photography are available for Olympus Stylus TG cameras (I tried both on the TG-4). FD-1 and LG-1. The LG-1 is by far the better of the two, and it's also 20% cheaper than the FD-1. The FD-1 requires the use of a flash instead of an LED light, while the LG-1 uses an LED light. and does not work with Flash. The LG-1 evenly illuminates the subject and you can see the subject clearly as the LED lights up when you press the shutter button halfway. The FD-1 glows unevenly around the lens and does not light up until you take a picture. The LG-1 has a lower profile and allows you to get the camera closer to the subject than the FD-1. With the FD-1 on camera, you cannot get the camera close enough to the subject to get the maximum magnification allowed by the camera. The LG-1 weighs about 0.3 ounces and is barely visible on camera, but it has to be removed to use a regular flash for general purpose shooting. Picture. Don't bother with the FD-1, grab the LG-1 and get some good macro shots. I have since returned the FD-1 and kept the LG-1. Don't bother with the FD-1, grab the LG-1 and get some good macro shots.
