Actual dimensions before use: 21 x 13 x 6, smaller than described. Handle 25 inches. This bag is pretty well designed. The canvas is one large piece with no seam at the bottom. In addition, the colored underside actually enhances the canvas. I can lift 25 pounds in one bag, but I wouldn't recommend carrying more than 20 pounds in one bag for any length of time. The colored stripes don't go around the bottom like a $40 bag, so they don't reinforce the bottom of the bag. The zipper is a 7x7 inch pocket inside the bag. This would make a sensible tote or boat bag. I've had bad results even with a $40 bag so I won't wash these.
