Basically a stainless steel pitcher with a silicone bottom to prevent slipping. At first I thought it would be too easy to hold my longer utensils like my 17" wok spatula and ladle, but it worked really well and showed no signs of tipping over. The 7.2-inch width seems to do the trick. At this size, it can hold quite a lot of dishes. By the way, silicone is only on the outside, inside everything is stainless steel. The height is also 7.2 inches. Short utensils like dinner forks can get lost in it, but pretty much everything else I have, ladles, whisks and spatulas fit in just fine. and dripping water on the table so I wouldn't recommend it for that. This is a beautiful, simple, shiny, well-made stainless steel design that should last.
