Godox TT685C or Yongnuo YN685?

I originally bought but ended up switching to this one. If you're doubting between the two, keep this in mind: YN685 and TT685C are great flashes, both work equally well. Both TT685C and YN685 are well made, but Yongnuon's size makes it more durable. On the other hand, Godox's smaller size makes it more portable. The YN685 comes with a bunch of stickers and little slips of paper with quality control markings on them. Yes, it may or may not be true, but there is a sense of confidence. The YN685 has a 1/4" screw mount on the side, unlike the TT685C, which can be useful when mounting it on a tripod. The YN685 has a simple hot shoe mount that locks with a lever, while the TT685C has the has old hot shoe mount with screw.control it remotely from my camera. The TT685C also worked very well with the X1C-T and allowed full remote control from the camera.- This review is not about transmitters but I have to say that the transmitter for yongnuo is much more user friendly than a transmitter for godox the yongnuo transmitter is also smaller which allowed me to to attach it to the camera while it was in my pocket. The X1C-T is aesthetically better than the YN-622C-TX (imo), but it's less intuitive and bulkier - I can't attach it to the camera while carrying it in my bag. - YN685 protective case has an attached belt loop. I found it very useful when attached to my Altura Photo Camera Sling Backpack. I know this may seem irrelevant and silly, but I miss the belt loop! The reason I chose TT685C over YN685 is because Godox has a broader ecosystem that can help you expand in the future. Eventually I want to get a Godox AD600 and I can control it with the same X1C-T transmitter and just sync it to the TT685C. So if you think about it If you're looking to get a flash in the future, then Godox might be for you. If you just want a good flash and aren't thinking of upgrading, then one of these will do. My final tip is to get an extended warranty from Revain (I know some disagree!) This is because these Chinese flashes sometimes fail and when they do it's not a good idea to take them in for repairs to send to China. I bought a 4-year full warranty for under $30 that even covers accidental damage. I figured a lot could happen in four years, and for less than $30 I can be sure it's protected. and if it is, you should not send them to China for repair.
