A little slow for balloon inflation, but kids love using the pump to inflate. (It's a lot easier than using a sink - the balls stick better to the pump and the water doesn't overflow. And you can fill the balls in the garden, not in the house.) This may be better for older kids (9+). be as it requires some force to create enough air pressure to fill the balloons with water. (Inflate the air first, then pull the air pressure trigger to pump water into the balloon). The children did about 50 quick pumps to fill each balloon with an average amount of water. Then knot the end of the balloon as usual. Since the kids loved to fill up the balloons themselves, this extended the water play time! (Children rotated with a pump). But if you're an adult who just wants to quickly fill up water balloons, I'd recommend a self-sealing tiny O-type balloon/bunch of balloons instead. These balloons worked fine - popped. when thrown, they remained intact when filled. This is our second water bottle filler in this style. The previous pump continued to be used for two years after the cylinders disappeared before it broke (not sure if it opened before or after it quit). The kids used the pump for experiments and other activities, and for something made mostly of plastic parts, it held up well.
