They're definitely heavy, strong and do the job. I would recommend using a piece of rope or paracord tied into a loop as a handle or attaching it to something. I first bought it to attach to the outside of my snowboard bag and bike. I didn't make the bag because I don't want to get hurt. Or scratch my truck dangling from a bag. It's not fitted to my bike yet but will if I get a chance to tie it.
