I make a lot of knee-high quilts for charity and needed a steam iron that didn't have an auto shut-off. I keep my iron on a small table next to my sewing machine and hate when I go out to iron something that I have to wait for the iron to heat up again. I have an iron, a sewing machine, and a line filtered light over my desk so there's a switch to turn everything off when I'm done sewing. I really like this Black and Decker steam iron. For a relatively small/light iron, it has a large water tank and heats up very quickly. The steam boost and atomizer work really well and I like that the controls are on top. So when I'm not ironing for a while (I do a lot of chain stitches) it's easy to turn them off and then heat them up again. very fast. I am very happy with this purchase.
