The duvet really looked like the photo and was soft as I suspected but it is very thin. I would have to use this along with two other comforters on a cold Houston day. The blanket is small and rectangular in shape, so it has a very odd shape for a baby blanket. It's good to drape the baby's legs just to reinforce whatever blanket you may have underneath.
