I bought this applicator to replace the sponge applicator. It worked great but was not easy to clean regularly due to the material and soaked up some of the lotion. I only use it for my back. I have neurodermatitis and have to apply lotion twice a day. I liked the idea that the applicator on this one doesn't pick up any product and can just be cleaned and wiped clean. Unfortunately, this failed due to the attachment of the applicator head to the handle. The pen is simply inserted into the applicator head, nothing else holds it there. Literally every time I went to smear lotion on my back my head fell off. I tried just moving up and he still slipped slightly and fell to the ground. It was useless. You need to improve the design of this thing to get a better grip on the handle, otherwise there's no point in using it on your back or other hard-to-reach places, hence the 1-star rating. If they fixed the design issue I would easily get 5 stars. Unfortunately I threw away my old applicator and am using this thing until I buy a new one.
