After trying various table lighting systems, mainly video streaming (including Litra, Lumecube, Neewer, etc.) I bought this Aputure light. There's a lot to like - very bright, easily adjustable brightness and color, controls and display are easy to use and read, back magnets are nice to the touch. But after a few weeks of use, I began to see serious problems that seem to be related to overheating of the battery and the device in general. Even when fully charged, the device gets very hot and stops working. Then it doesn't work when I connect it via USB-C. Eventually it works after some charging, but quickly goes out again. Sometimes I get it working when plugged into a power source, but the brightness only hits 60% in this case (I know for sure it was 100% when I first plugged it in). Interestingly, I recommended this light to a friend who was having similar issues. Initially I didn't have these problems, so we ran parallel tests and of course his device had all the problems described above. Now i have the same problems. Good product concept, but it seems poorly executed, at least for the moment. Will probably fall back on a Lume or Neewer light bar.
