The USB-C port on the device didn't work at all for me.
The USB-C port on this device did not work for me at all, it does not send video to my external LCD monitor and does not allow the mains voltage provided by my monitor to charge my laptop. If you connect the cable directly between the laptop and the monitor, everything works fine. Maybe I got a defective product? I don't know, but I hear a faint noise (like a charger) when I have the monitor's USBC cable connected. i give it back
