Fixed my error message: Ink system error 0xc19a0035

My HP C410a printer started failing and printing incorrectly. FYI, I've printed over 7,000 pages with it in total (see image). However, sometimes he missed colors or said they were empty when they were new and full. I always use branded inks and have had no problems with them. I ended up having to do a printhead cleaning after about a dozen pages or colors faded. The clarity of the printed lines also became fuzzy. I looked at the original printhead and noticed that the ink hit the paper, the metal areas were a bit jagged, probably causing blurring and possible errors. Soon I got the error message shown in the picture (ink system error 0xc19a0035). I restarted it and it worked a few times but eventually it worked. I bought this generic Resplash to replace a factory unit that HP charged $80 for. This was less than half their cost and included a set of ink cartridges. Aesthetically versatile devices and HP units are virtually identical in every way, shape, color and form. The picture has a new block installed, the original is on the left. To install a new printhead, first remove all ink cartridges, and then lift the spring-loaded lever on the right. The printhead will then slide out easily. Insert a new one, lower the lever, install the cartridges, close the cover. Mine said he had to do the first run and it started counting down from about 6-7 minutes. After that everything worked! No errors and the print quality is the same as it was. Test page with a newly installed printhead. UPDATE: 11/11/20 - The print head is still working fine. The ink cartridges work, but the plastic tab that locks them is weak. It doesn't want to stay in the extended position, so it's a bit difficult to lock in place.

Pros
  • Printer ink and toner
Cons
  • Not as thick as other options
