So it's a bit personal but I think it might help someone sometime. may be? I developed a fungal infection on my hand called tinea and used topical medication to kill it and I swore it worked quickly, but the fungus would never completely go away. I've been suffering from this pesky yeast infection for months - MONTHS! I stopped playing for a week or two as I went on a trip and the yeast infection cleared up in a few days. i was so confused Has an almighty force punished me for playing!? After some research, I found that soft, porous surfaces can hold bacteria and other nasty germs for a very long time if not exposed to extreme heat, UV rays, or excessive disinfectant sprays. and some can stay afterwards! Turns out I was getting sick of my Steel Series mousepad that gamers admire. I threw it away and ordered this mouse pad and *BAAM*! No more embarrassing infection; there was no longer a sense of omnipotent power caring for the players; no more problems (except my wife keeps complaining that I play too many games!). Combined with my Logitech M502 gaming mouse I am now fungus free and gaming to my wife's displeasure! Long live video games!
