I bought this computer because I wanted a compact design, low power consumption, reasonably good performance and a low price. This particular model has been updated between the time I first looked at it and the time I bought it. It currently only has the core Microsoft and Adobe apps. My intended use is office, web surfing, photo editing and light video editing. My model is based on the AsRock DeskMini X300W chassis and comes with an AMD Ryzen 4650G APU (6 cores, 12 threads), 32 GB RAM and a 1 TB NVME SSD from Intel. It also has a GB Ethernet port, AC-level Wi-Fi and Bluetooth. Here are some basic usage statistics. The CPU power consumption was measured with Core Temp, the processing time with Cinebench R23 and Ethernet with Speedtest. Kill A Watt was used to measure system power consumption. The maximum temperatures were measured during the Cinebench multi-core test when all processor cores ran at 100%. Peak CPU power consumption was around 55-60W for processors and 85-90W for the system. When idling, when only the home screen and core temp were working, the processor consumed about 3-6 watts, the system about 21 watts. Cinebench R23 scores were 8761 for multi-core and 1214 for single-core. Ethernet download speed was 913Mbps and upload speed was 25Mbps on the network using Cat 5E cable and with an Ethernet peak of 1Gbps estimated by ISP. These results should be considered impressionistic and not definitive. My main gripe with the system is the noisy fan, but if it gets too annoying it's easy to swap out. Another limitation is the limited number of ports (2x USB 3, 1x USB C, 1x USB 2, 1x HDMI and 1x VGA). That will do for me, but some people might want more. It has many more features than I need, with the possible exception of video editing, but I'm looking forward to significantly faster encoding times. In short, this is a great compact computer with a good price and a loud fan.
