Review on WEme USB Extender Hub: 4-Port USB 2.0 Ethernet Extender Over Cat5/ Cat5e/ Cat6 Cable - 60M/196FT Range, RJ45 Lan Extension with Power Adapter for Logitech Webcam, Camera, Speakerphone by Terry Murphy

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Unfortunately, the best option

It really works, and it works reliably. IF you are considering this version or the $10 version SAVE TIME and BUY THIS. However, the build quality of this device is poor for the price. The RJ45 connector also looks unusually cheap. LEDs are sad. The USB pigtail spins like an Ahoge. The first thing I got was DOA. It smelled like burnt transistors. The LEDs lit up and indicated a connection, but the operating system didn't recognize it. The Revain exchange went smoothly. I now have two machines of this model and both have performed well over the past few months. I use one to extend Bluetooth coverage (with a USB dongle) to another part of the house, and then I use the other "daisy chain" with the first to connect a wired keyboard and mouse to another room associate. I like that it has a built in hub. Only 50 feet of CAT6 on each. Also tested with crappy old CAT5 and worked fine. Three stars because of the build quality and the first DOA device.

Pros
  • USB Over Ethernet 196FT is this USB 2.0 over individual Cat5e/Cat6/Cat7 extender up to 196ft (60m). The data transfer rate is up to 480 Mbit/s. Supports all operating systems (Windows, MacOS, Linux). Support USB audio output.
