I learned the tips for my Apple Pencil Gen 1 quicker than I'd like, probably due to the matte screen protector (on the 2nd gen iPad Pro) for drawing, which wears off quickly. I just upgraded to a 2020 iPad Pro and a 2nd gen pencil and wanted to extend the life of the nibs so I decided to try these nib cases. I draw first and then write/take notes on an iPad, but my test of the nib tips was done with drawing first, where I found that while they appear to be a great layer of protection between the nib and the jagged screen protector, but It's noticeably difficult to calculate where your next line begins. The effect is only comparable to the feeling of parallax when I put a closed-tip pencil at the end of a previously drawn line, and when I start a new line there is a small gap where I didn't place the tip correctly. on the previous line (for a continuous continuous dash). I tried for about 30 minutes to see if I could get used to it in a drawing app but unfortunately I came to the conclusion that it would take much longer to get used to the setting I needed to perfect, to get the lines smooth and without gaps. I just don't have time for that if the pencil alone doesn't have the parallax effect. However, the additional tips in this pack are great on their own. I've tested a few of these and they look and feel the same as the branded Apple nib (which the pencil does 2. four OEM nibs) I will probably continue to buy these nibs and just ignore the nib caps.
