I bought both this and the warm Ecologic Mart Eye-Care book light because the Lumino looked like it had better opacity and was lighter. Those two things are correct. But Ecologic light has the best color. I really hate "blue" light and prefer yellow. The Lumino has both but "yellow" still felt a bit blue to me so I switched to this Ecologic which is MUCH warmer. Battery life is better on the Lumino, although a nice feature on the Ecologic is a button you can press to see an LED indicator that shows how much charge is left, so you don't have to wait for it in front of the charging expires. . The best thing about Lumino is that the coverage is MUCH better. It has a big square light, not the narrow band of light like almost everyone else that doesn't necessarily shine around the edges of my Kindle (let alone a book). The device is beautiful, light weight and thin in the battery/clip area so it easily attaches to your Kindle even in a case. In terms of brightness, my biggest complaint about ALL the book lights is that the brightness settings are useless because they are ALL TOO BRIGHT. I have never used any settings other than the lowest. I mean it's about having as little light in bed as possible so you don't disturb your partner. I'd rather see lower settings and a lot less brightness. Lumino has at least 4 settings instead of the usual three, making the first and second levels more comfortable than other lights. I really LOVE this light and if color is not that important to you then this is by far the best choice. I just want it to be a bit more yellow than blue.
