Great Value

Pros:1. The carpet has a very soft and pleasant texture. Cats love to rub or sleep on it because it's soft. The color is cool too and it doesn't look cheap or flimsy when put together.2. The whole setup is very solid compared to many cat towers. The triangle at the bottom provides enough stability and I feel safe when all 3 of my cats jump and play on it.3. It's fairly easy to assemble and comes with instructions.4. Cats love hanging mouse toys. This is what they interact with most of the time. Disadvantages: The scratching posts are made of thick cardboard tubes. While the construction appears solid, I would have preferred rigid plastic or wooden supports. The mouse is attached with a bracket, and the rope is quite flimsy. It will be pretty easy to fix if they rip it off. I'll probably stick a small eyebolt into the fiberboard of this perch and attach a more bouncy toy. The top bar wobbles a bit. Cats don't really like climbing there. This could probably be corrected with more support than a bar. The smallest of the 3 hangs there, the others don't. Overall I am very satisfied with the product and the price-performance ratio is right. Update 2016: 3 years later. We still use the scratching post, but we needed to fix it up a bit. Overall I would say the above review is still relevant. The top stand is attached to the main body with a plastic washer that has a screw going through it. This plastic pane cracked for 2.5 years because over time cats wriggled on it while climbing and finally broke the perch. I used epoxy to attach this and we used L brackets to screw the wood to the wall. This greatly reduced the shaking. We still use it.
