Not transparent at all. It fits perfectly the tighter it is. I'm 5 3 inches, 179 pounds, I'm ordering a small and have yet to pull it up in the crotch area. There's a lot of tension there. So order one size smaller, but it's a good outfit. I want it to come in XS
