Based on previous reviews, the shirt definitely runs small. I took that into account when ordering and chose a 7, even though my son only wears a size 6 on other brands - and a size 7 is a size 6. It didn't shrink much after the first wash, no more than any other cotton shirt. The graphics are screen printed in a continuous square. Washes and dries well. Overall I'm happy with the purchase and my kid loves the shirt - just make sure you order it.
