Based on one of Tiffany's most famous designs, this lighter makes a great bedside or table lamp at an affordable price. The lampshade is a graphically beautiful combination of navy blue/green when off and muted blue/green when on, with shimmering splashes of water and champagne thanks to the nuggets/cabochons. The reflections on the walls and ceiling are just beautiful! It was well protected when shipped. As expected, the lampshade is a bit heavy as it is not a plastic lampshade. (If you are familiar with glass shades and window panes - vintage and otherwise - you know that glass has no overall resonance because the parts are foil wrapped and then bonded/soldered and therefore frosted.) Even at this light weight, the lampshade is a tight and flat on the base, no balance or tipping problems. The seller included a small, clear, refrigerator-sized halogen lamp. And while it works well, it's a bit dark. Instead, we've opted for a larger transparent lamp that provides a more even and slightly brighter light. (We also placed the lamp on an inexpensive mirror to further illuminate the room.) While the shade is of good quality (you'd pay a lot more for great/excellent quality), the molded base is expensive. The power cord exit point is not centered on the base drawings (annoying!) and also sticks out/up at an odd angle. Worst of all, cheap metal has a greenish tint and the tone doesn't match the shades of the hinges or pommel; it actually steals some of the Shadow Thunder. So we drew it - it took ten minutes and the difference was huge! You can choose between oiled bronze or dark gunmetal and we chose ORB (see pictures). In addition to the lamp, the seller also included two glass elements, one with copper foil and the other without, in a small plastic case. Sleeve. I don't know why, maybe to show it's not plastic? This would be a five star item if it weren't for the lack of quality and attention to detail on the base/cable. We loved it after we painted it and changed the lightbulb!
