I have the large and its great

I just bought the large for traveling over the upcoming holidays. This review may need to be updated after the trip is completed. But we took this bag to check before the flight. I use this bag to take my small dog to the vet all the time, she even sleeps in it at night, I bought it because I have a 22lb dog and a 4lb dog. The 4 pound dog will be traveling with us so he sleeps in it every night. This bag could securely hold my 22 lb dog (with straps on my shoulder) but he couldn't stand in it and it was almost an exact match. Because of the soft sides, he could climb inside and turn to face the outside, but that was the only agility he could do inside. Still, it's very secure to carry in it, and with the weight on my shoulder and the carry handle, I can evenly distribute its weight while walking without hurting my back. Carrying it on one hand tires me a lot quicker than carrying it with this bag when it gets tired on long walks. As for the 4 pound dog we have, this bag is a lot bigger than him, but we bought it with a dual purpose. . So we stuff half of the bag with a soft dog blanket so it's smaller and doesn't throw itself in. He loves the bag and sleeps in it all night. He couldn't chew it, but he tries to scratch the mesh lining that has held up. I don't think it would hold up if my larger dog nibbled on it, but I'll have to teach him that, so it's not the bag's fault for not being able to withstand the fangs. . We also use this bag in the car to keep our 22 lb dog on the go so he doesn't roll around. The kit includes a soft foam mat to rest on and a wooden plank underneath to give it structure. The little dog doesn't fit him while he's there, so the smaller one sits in the dog car seat. Overall, the design of this bag is phenomenal compared to things I've seen shopping at Wal-Marta and Target. It's pretty much on par with the stuff I see at pet stores but they're pretty expensive so I'll probably spend an extra $20 and buy this one that actually claims to hold up to 40 pounds of a dog while other bags don't to do. Don't mention the weight or they claim not to hold more than 20 pounds. The design of the bag is simple, has a single entry and exit point, top and rear vents. One of the top vents also has a zip so you can slip your hand in to calm your dog down on the go. A back pocket holds a leash, several dog bags and, ideally, a harness. There's not much to pack in this bag, enough but maybe not enough for some. We need a separate bag for things like dog food and water and a water/food bowl, but I find it tormenting leaving food so close to the dog. Style, very stylish I must add, I got this bag so it doesn't really stand out as a dog carrier. When you close all the vents, it almost looks like a large duffel bag to the unwary. It probably wouldn't stand up to scrutiny but the bag is nylon, it looked like canvas in the photos but it's nylon which is good because my 4 lbs vomited a few times from being rocked while walking, and it was easy to clean. I'd definitely buy another one of these, but from the looks of it it'll probably last a good 5 years with moderate use, so it's going to be a while. airport next week and see how it goes.

Pros
  • Excellent design
Cons
  • flimsy
