Looks solid, very easy to install, a bit difficult to remove

I was hesitant to purchase this case as there was a lot of negative feedback about the top cover being difficult to remove, without damaging them. Screen. I can safely remove it, just not exactly as shown in the UAG tutorial video. In particular, if you try to remove the side clips on both sides of the screen at once, you're likely to run into trouble. I found that I could manipulate the top cap to slightly loosen the clips on one side, which made them difficult to unclip. After one side is finished, the other side can be cut in the same way. It takes a little skill and patience, not a lot of strength. If you find yourself trying hard, bending the screen, or hurting your nails, you're doing it wrong. BREAK. Take a break. To calm oneself down. Be patient and careful. One person commented on YouTube with a credit card or two to help remove the side clips. It seems like a good idea, but I didn't have to do it. Except for the distance issue. I like the cover very much. It is very light and offers strong protection where the screen can be damaged by a fall, i.e. in the corners. Installation was very quick and easy - just follow the instructions. I recently dropped my trusty old Microsoft Surface Pro 2 and smashed the screen. The repair cost me almost $200 and it wasn't easy to find someone to do it. I really don't want to repeat that with my much more valuable MacBook Pro! This case is a cheap insurance in addition to regularly backing up your data. I'm sure the experience varies from one model to another. My MacBook Pro is a 15" Touch Bar model A1707.
