Compact device, about the size of a 1980's Walkman. It's very easy. Since there is no Dolby B or C NR, cassettes recorded with this widely used encoding will sound different than the one originally recorded because the player is not set up for it. For the price I wasn't expecting Dolby NR encoding as it wasn't mentioned in the description. The deck also doesn't have a Cro2/Ferric-Oxide setting, so tapes recorded with these types of tape will also sound different. The deck comes with the full-featured AudioLava Version 1 software, which can be updated by the software company for a small fee. In general I am satisfied with the device considering the price.
