Use this light for my closet. It's at the top of the closet. I first tried the strips of tape that came with the kit, but my ceiling is textured so the strips fell off about a week after installation. I ended up drilling two pilot holes near the ends of the metal plate and the screws lay flat enough for the light to still hold. So the metal plate is in there and I only reach for the flashlight when it needs to be charged. I've had the light for a few months if not more and I've just done the first charge. So the battery life seems really good! And recharge quickly. The brightness is also great for my needs. The motion detection works well, it's about 3-4 feet above us and when I get close it recognizes me. The only small negative point is that in low light (twilight or very low light) the light does not shine. The overall quality seems great and the price was good.
