I've tried disposable electric razors, cheap and expensive plastic razors, and more. I've always struggled with razor burn to shave off the bumps even on my legs. Turns out I don't really like the stripes they're sporting now. So this is my second safety razor and it's much better. It has some weight but is rather balanced and glides perfectly on the skin once you learn to hold it properly. And the blades are sharper and easier to replace, resulting in less skin irritation. I flip the blade over after a few uses and usually use more without a problem. You won't regret buying this razor if it's peeling plastic, getting rid of disposables or you just need a quality tool that will last for years, this is what you want. Can also be a great gift. I'm even thinking about buying one for my daughter. Yes, I'm a woman, and as scary as it sounds to use a safety razor with a slow, deft hand, I've only cut myself once. And in most cases with a lazy wet shave. A great close shave every time and the amount of waste that can even be recycled in some places.
