I installed it inside the wine cabinet, facing the other wall of the cabinet. There is no direct light. You are not working. They only work under experimental conditions. The problem is that they are too light sensitive and not motion sensitive at all. So if you're getting even a little light because the overhead light is some distance away - not enough to read but enough to see, it just won't come on. To turn on the light, a sufficient number of movements are required - more than a second. This means that despite their slogan, it just doesn't work for "under cabinet lighting". Because you can't shield him from the light enough, but you can still let him see you cum. Technically the thing works. The light is bright enough, the magnetic mount works, it's technically motion sensitive and really saves energy by not lighting up when there's already light. But it needs a lot of exercise and it will glow with ANY light. (Hence a star for ease of installation, as there's no conceivable place you could install it.) Avoid. You will regret the purchase and it is not worth sending back.
