Bought this because I prefer aluminum over plastic for outdoor use. Externally it was identical to the plastic box I had, with threaded holes and a knock out bottom. Not correct. In my haste, I decided to drill them anyway - both required holes were down (I have a drill press and a 7/8" bit). This only solved half the problem. The aluminum wells are unthreaded and were too deep to drill installing a standard ring with a nut in it. It took two 2" nipples and two PVC threaded adapters to penetrate enough to tighten the ring nut. By then I had wasted more time than a trip to Home Depot to find another Plastic box to get from easy knockouts.
