Good door for the price

Let me start by saying that I am absolutely terrible at cutting hair. built-in door. I was concerned that the hole I cut would be too big or crooked and cause problems, but the pet door has enough wiggle room that crooked cuts won't really affect it unless they're horribly crooked. I think if you really know how to use power tools then installing this door will be an easy task. One thing I really liked and I didn't expect the sliding pet door lock door to stay halfway up even when not seated in the grooves. There's enough pressure to keep it going. This is important to me because I wanted the door to be big enough for my dogs to walk through every now and then, but so that I could close it with a smaller opening if I wanted to keep them out of the other room, but while I was mine Cats allowed to come in and out. . I thought I would have to cut grooves in the locking door to achieve this, but I am pleasantly surprised and happy to report that this is not the case. My only two suggestions for improving this door are: 1) The instructions say to cut 2/5" between the pieces. It was confusing because inches are measured in sixteenths and my math skills aren't that great. When the mm -Size wasn't in parentheses I might have messed it up 2) This isn't good for panel doors as there's no way to fill the recesses of the panel behind the frame I'll probably use spray foam or something (or it for now just leave it as that door needs to be replaced anyway) but thought it was worth mentioning the tools are put away and my cats get to know each other.

Pros
  • Lots of positive vibes
Cons
  • No finish
