I love this raincoat! It's probably not the most practical choice for keeping you dry in a downpour, especially since it's so open at the sides from the waist down, but it looks really cool, is sleek, lightweight and so easy to pack. The construction and quality of the fabric is very good for what it is, basically a long windbreaker but in a heavier weight fabric and lined nicely. By the way, it doesn't feel like plastic when you move, and the fabric doesn't feel like plastic like some windbreakers do. The zipper isn't the slickest because it's not the smallest either, but it feels very solid and adds a twist to the look. Detachable, lined hood, large. Without it, the coat looks very different, like an elongated baseball jacket. The buttons on the hood hold it in place well enough so that it won't fall off in a gust of wind, but if you want a hood that you can pull around your face with, say, a drawstring, I suggest you put it on Buy this coat Not. In fact, if you need a raincoat to keep you dry during the rainy season, or spend more time in the rain than it takes to get from your car to the door of a restaurant, don't buy this coat.
