Review on Headlights Rectangular Replacement Freightinger Oldsmobile Lights & Lighting Accessories by Kyle Earley

Revainrating 5 out of 5

Incredibly bright

I had these headlights on a truck I've been driving for about 3 weeks now and what a difference. I drive a three-axle Peterbilt in the mountains of Pennsylvania. And the headlights that were in it were almost useless. What 180! These lights illuminate the road with a pleasant white light. And the high beams are surprisingly bright. Sometimes you can't see the traffic around the corner, so you need to turn on the dimmer quickly. And one review said they weren't designed for highway use. I already checked DOT and there were no problems. And anyone who deals with DOT knows what they can be. One suggestion I highly recommend is not to connect the low beam on the high beam side so the low beam is on all fours. Why they can stop you because all four lights are on. The cop will see the low beam, but he'll stop you anyway, and then you'll have a chance to pass the inspection and earn CSA points. Second, they are very bright and dazzle oncoming traffic. Normal low beam is all you need. This can be done by disconnecting the yellow wire from the high beam side. These flashlights are worth the money and you will have a lot of fun with them.

Pros
  • Top marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • There are more interesting options.
