LOVE OF MY LIFE

I bought this because I kinda have absolutely no coordination when it comes to styling my hair. The idea of using each hand for separate tasks (e.g. round brush + blow dryer) was never something I was good at. So I got this thinking it was low risk (because the price is so high). In fact, I've already bought a backup in case of a possible sad day when this one dies. But it seems such a sturdy and simple design. Hopefully that day is still far away (I've had my first for 2 years now). For background: I have fine hair that sits just below my shoulders, has trouble holding the curls and is very susceptible to moisture. I don't think I'll ever have a solution that keeps my hair the same from morning to night, but it does a damn good job. I just twist my hair and spray it with hairspray to start the day. Sure, it looks downright huge, but by the time I get to work it's settled to a reasonable volume. I've never styled my hair before so this is a godsend. Now let's get down to the details. 1.) As with any other hair tool. You must comb your hair well before using it. If this does not happen, it gets caught in the bristles. Sometimes you need to pay attention as your helix/twist approaches the gap between the barrel and the grip. If you don't, your hair may get tangled in it. This is a small detail. And once you get comfortable with it, it really doesn't matter anymore. 2.) For some reason only the highest heating level (25) is high enough for me. I'm not so hot that my hair gets damaged so that's good. But I just have no idea how this tool would be effective on the lower end of the spectrum3.) The bristles are hard plastic and don't get hot like a keg. They don't look like silicone. In my opinion, this is a big plus. 4.) In general, the hair that collects around the bristles is easy to remove. However, it can be difficult to remove debris that builds up around the bristles.
