I am a mystery reader for my second grade grandson. I am reading the children's picture book Hay Grandude by Sir Paul McCartney. The compass is the most important tool in the story. There are 23 students in the class, so I bought four sets of six for $80. I looked at each one and they all looked good and worked as they should. Its golden and shiny case fits well in a child's palm. I'm sure it will be a keepsake. However, this item is not designed to withstand long-term harsh conditions and elements of serious outdoor hiking.
