Awkward when using a mouse

Unfortunately this laptop didn't work for me. I wanted something that would keep the heat off my knees when using my laptop while sitting on the couch. I do a lot of genealogical research on our family tree, and I'm more comfortable on a sofa than at a desk. I was looking for something that would keep the heat off my knees and have a place to use my wireless mouse. This table is made of hard plastic and my wrist doesn't feel comfortable at all when using a mouse. Another issue I've found with this laptop is that the mouse will roll to the bottom of the mat unless you're sitting upright with both feet on the floor. So not only does my wrist hurt from the hard plastic, but when I use a chair and lift my legs a bit, my wrist hurts from trying to hold the mouse to keep it from rolling. Heat comes from the bottom of the laptop. It sits comfortably on my lap and I love that you can adjust the height of the laptop, but the mouse pad issues don't justify the price.
