I have a place in the basement, which is practically the nerve center of the house. This is where the main switchboard is located, as well as the Internet connection, core network switching, server racks and the main security panel. I also have a home automation server running a Raspberry Pi and I have a 7 inch 1024x600 resolution ELECROW portable touchscreen monitor with USB wall mount and the rest of the setup. I understand that touchscreen functionality is more complete on Windows, but I'm using Linux. On Linux, touchscreen functionality is pretty basic, with a single touch and a few multitouch/gesture commands. The screen has good viewing angles and colors, but a lower than expected maximum brightness. the circuit board is good. At $76, this monitor is quite pricey, but it's not a stellar deal. I think it's great for a hobby or a dedicated display (I'm considering getting one for my Lightburn table), but it's clearly limited. as the main display. Windows users in particular should seriously consider the vertical resolution of this device. 600 pixels is pretty harsh when Windows really wants at least 720 or 768. It's great for Linux though. Conditionally recommended.
