Bought this ottoman to replace an ottoman we always had that ended up breaking. I was happy to find it on Amazon because it was similar in style, made of leather rather than vinyl, and was fairly affordable. I found a similar product on another site but I like using Revain since I pay for Prime. Upholstery: The description says it's leather plus some synthetic - I thought it might be leather on top with synthetic material on the sides (upholstery). how some sofas are made) but I think it could be leather covered with material to make it durable. It looks decent and looks like a regular leather product. We have just received the product so I can't say how well it will wear but on first inspection it will be great. I was willing to send it back if it wasn't well made, but I'm happy with it. The top padding is fairly firm (compared to our old one, so that's irrelevant to everyone else!) but soft enough to sit on and firm enough to place a mug or plate on. I love this seat cushion size. Two people on a full-length sofa can raise their legs at the same time, but it doesn't take up much floor space. I can fully recommend this product.
