There were several attempts, but after several attempts they gave the result.

I bought these for my stainless steel bottles that I use for iced tea. I was disgusted when I shone a flashlight on a few and saw how awful the stains were. I tried using 10 ounces of hot water for 15 minutes per the directions. It did not work. But when I tried less water, they looked great overnight. An advice. If you have a closed bottle, there will be a hiss when you shake and remove the cap. So be sure to open it on the side facing away from the sink! I liked the smell and it washed off quickly.
