Last summer we hit the easy button on our hike. Wow, that changed our camping game! For larger national parks like Olympic, Yellowstone and Yosemite it came in very handy when not camping and hungry! It was just that in the car they were on hand with a camp stove, propane and a kettle to boil water and we could wander around until our hearts were content! Delicious and ready in 15 minutes. I strongly recommend that you create a "comfortable reflectix" for them. (Watch how to make them from Darwin on YouTube.) The handy reflex keeps the water and contents of the pack hot for the recommended cooking time. This means that the ambient air does not cool down the water/food until the end of the cooking time. Delicious! Super comfortable!
