Review on MiracleLED 604724 Refrigerator Replacement Bulb by Maurice Stavros

Revainrating 4 out of 5

Look for LUMEN numbers!

I got these a while back when a lightbulb melted the top of a nylon lunch box which unfortunately touched the lightbulb. And the fridge didn't close all the way. Yes indeed. It smelled great in there. So I've searched a bit for LED replacements and found that there aren't many explanations for equivalent brightness between incandescent and LEDs, so I'm hoping I can help a little in that department. These 315 lumen bulbs are not exactly equivalent to 40 watt bulbs. incandescent. The one that melted the lunch bag in our fridge was 60w and does NOT light up the fridge like that. If we had something in the bottom drawer, it would be very difficult to say what it was. An information section on these 350 lumen bulbs can be found here: http://www.amazon.com/GE-Lighting-83645-350-Lumen-Refrigerator/dp/B00TH3LGE0 --- . They're supposed to equate to 40W, but you only get one bulb instead of the two you get with these "miracle" LEDs. I'm deducting a star because I had to look up the lumens/illuminance equivalent. between incandescent and LED, as there is no explanation on this product page. I'd like to find an equivalent 60w LED on Revain but can't seem to find it. I expect it will be in the 400-450 lumen range I believe. Maybe someone can guide me and let me know one in the comments section. Based on the reviews of some other appliance bulbs I'm looking at, the "miracle" seems to be that they last 4-6 months before failing.
