Not for all surfaces
I tried sticking them to an existing plastic trash can and they hang for life. They won't even survive nights in bad weather. The description says "Perfect for metal bins, windows, garbage trucks, bin walls, etc." I thought the plastic bin would be under "etc" but it doesn't seem to be.
