Bought Li Core Sw Gray men's 10.5 stripes (and several other colors and types at Sperry) in October 2020 for my husband for Christmas. (I like to shop ahead for family.) They looked great on him and he liked the shoes, but after wearing that particular color very infrequently over the next few months, they began to make a squeaky noise when walking. They were the only pair to do so and we've never had a problem with Sperry in the 20 years he's bought them. So it's a little discouraging when a $60 pair of shoes starts to sound like a cheap, poorly made $20 pair of tennis shoes. I know the prices of many products have gone up and the quality has gone down during COVID, but was it just a random lemon or does it indicate issues that can be more common with a brand that is typically higher quality? Worn shoes that have problems after a few months can usually not be returned or exchanged. Now I worry about the quality of the next pair we buy and Sperry shoes are the only casual shoes my husband wears.
