Bad Safety Hook

I bought my grandson and niece a pair of diamond earrings. Safety hooks were also purchased. I put a new earring on my granddaughter and they went swimming and when she came back in. Both diamond earrings were missing from their ears. I am very disappointed with the so called safety hooks that did not secure the new diamond earring. I just bought from Revain. There was no luck finding an earring or a so-called hook.
