Runs on 3 AAA batteries Colors switch automatically It is not clear how it works, if it is dark it lights up, if it is light it goes out. If it’s dark for a long time, it goes out, lights up immediately from movement, like so . I add after a while, I didn’t gobble up the batteries, it helps cool at night, you scurry into the toilet sleepy, you don’t want to turn on the light to burn your eyes, and this calm thing helps you get where you need)))))
